Joint Coordination Meeting on Tourism Cooperation in Talesh with the Presence of the Head of Public Security Police and the Head of Cultural Heritage Office
Talesh – A coordination meeting aimed at reviewing issues related to tourism activities, licensing processes, organization of guesthouse accommodations, and coastal management was held with the participation of the Head of the Public Security and Intelligence Police of Talesh County and tourism officials.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Talesh County, the meeting focused on advancing programs related to the introduction and World Heritage registration of Gisoum tourist village. During the session, joint solutions among relevant institutions were discussed to facilitate legal tourism activities and improve the level of services in the region.
In this meeting, emphasis was placed on organizing guesthouse operations, supervising accommodation units, enhancing coordination between the private sector and regulatory bodies, and ensuring proper coastal management with a responsible tourism approach. Additionally, the acceleration of legal licensing procedures and the creation of a suitable environment for tourism businesses were highlighted as essential steps in preparing Gisoum for national and international recognition.
The officials present at the meeting stated that, considering the ongoing process of introducing Gisoum for World Heritage registration in 2026, cooperation between security, law enforcement, and tourism authorities will play a crucial role in improving service quality, ensuring tourist safety, and strengthening hospitality infrastructure.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on continuing joint cooperation and implementing shared programs to enhance tourism in the county and support the globalization process of Gisoum.
