Start of Spring Fruit Harvest Season in Gisoum Village

Gisoum – The spring fruit harvest season has begun in the tourist village of Gisoum, and local orchard owners are engaged in collecting the first agricultural products of the year.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Talesh County, with the arrival of warm spring days, the orchards of Gisoum are hosting a variety of seasonal fruits, including green plums, white mulberries, black mulberries, and other local produce that typically reach harvest during this period each year.

Gisoum orchard owners, noting the high quality of this year’s products, stated that favorable weather conditions in recent months have contributed to improved quality and increased yield. With its suitable climate and moderate weather conditions, the village is considered one of the favorable areas for producing spring fruits in Talesh County.

Tourism officials also described the beginning of the harvest season as an important opportunity to attract visitors, introduce local agricultural culture, and boost the village’s economy. According to them, promoting the agricultural capacities of Gisoum, alongside its natural attractions, can play a significant role in the development of rural tourism.

With the start of the harvest season, it is expected that in addition to local consumption, part of Gisoum’s agricultural products will also be supplied to regional markets.
