Meeting Between the Head of Talesh Cultural Heritage Office and a Veteran Journalist from Gisoum to Collect Documentation for the Village’s Promotion
Talesh – The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Talesh County held a meeting with a veteran journalist originally from Gisoum to review the process of collecting information, historical records, and activities related to the promotion of this tourist village.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Talesh County, the meeting was held with the aim of documenting previous media efforts and completing the promotional dossier of Gisoum Village. During the session, past media activities and published reports over the years—those that have contributed to introducing the natural and cultural potentials of Gisoum—were examined.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage Office of Talesh emphasized the role of the media in promoting tourism destinations, stating:
“Although we have officially launched the project of promoting and internationalizing Gisoum only a few months ago, it was local journalists who, years earlier, took the first steps in introducing Gisoum and showcasing its capacities to the public.”
He further added that utilizing the valuable experience and records of local journalists can enrich and improve the accuracy of information related to Gisoum’s attractions, cultural background, and past activities, thereby strengthening the promotion process.
During the meeting, it was also decided that media-related documents and reports about Gisoum would be collected, categorized, and used in future national and international promotional programs for the village.
The session concluded with an emphasis on continued cooperation with journalists and media activists of Gisoum, highlighting their important role in documenting and promoting the cultural heritage of the region.
